The Master Plan Review

A few quick points on The Master Plan by Charles Heflin of SEO-2020.com

I got a copy yesterday. I am only partially through the book as of now, but to this point Charles has done a very good job explaining LSI and using examples to demonstrate its application.

So far, I have found the information to be an excellent reinforcement of how to build a quality search engine friendly site.

Theme specific with related sub theme information segregated into tightly focused “Silos” as he refers to them, which are simply directories (folders) within the site.

This helps maintain a logical linking structure that will continually reinforce your sites theme to the search engine spiders and in turn should help your sites rankings for related search terms.

Of course the uniqueness and quality of your content plays a major role in your rankings.

LSI () is a very important concept for all of us to grasp.

Simply it is an which seeks to determine the subject matter of a web page by comparing the pages keywords to the other words on the page to see if other pages in its database about this keyword (key phrase)  used similar related words.

Now what is a related word or term to a search engine may not be what a human considers related.

The example Charles gives by doing a search in Google for… ~apple

The search returns web pages about Apple Computers and related products and not the fruit.

LSI is a form of artificial intelligents that is designed to mature over time. The use of LSI by the bots will provide the SERPS with an easy way to ignore cloaked web pages and increase the quality of their search results.

So in a nutshell… the stresses the benefits of working in partnership with the SEPRS instead of trying to outsmart them.

Sounds like good advice!
